Privacy Policy

Beemoth is a local-first strength training app. This policy describes what data the app handles, where it lives, and the choices you have. The short version: your training data stays on your device, we do not run accounts or analytics, and we never sell or share your data. The app only sends data out in two cases: a crash report when something breaks, so we can fix it, and a check of your Pro status with our purchase provider.

Data the app stores

The app does not require an account and does not transmit your data to any server controlled by us. Everything you enter, including workouts, sets, exercises, programmes, personal records, bodyweight and body measurements, is stored in a local database on your device only. We have no access to it. Deleting the app deletes this data.

Health Connect (Android)

If you choose to connect Health Connect, Beemoth writes two kinds of data you record in the app to Health Connect so they appear alongside your other health data: your completed workout sessions (exercise type, start and end time) and the bodyweight readings you log. When you edit or delete a logged bodyweight, the app updates or removes the matching record it wrote. The app does not read any data from Health Connect. This happens only after you grant permission and only at your direction. We do not use Health Connect data for advertising, marketing, analytics, or any purpose other than recording the workouts and bodyweight you logged. Health Connect data is never transmitted to us or to any third party. You can revoke access at any time in system settings or in the app, and you can delete written records through Health Connect itself.

Wear OS and Apple Watch

Watch sync uses the Wear OS data layer on Android and Watch Connectivity on iPhone. Data is exchanged directly between your phone and your paired watch and does not pass through our servers.

Exercise demonstration images

Exercise demo images are loaded from a public content delivery network (jsDelivr). When an image is fetched, the CDN receives your IP address as part of the normal network request, the same as loading any web page. No workout data, identifiers, or personal information are sent with these requests, and images are cached on your device after first view.

Notifications

Reminders and timers use local notifications scheduled on your device. No notification content leaves your device.

Crash reports

The Android phone and Wear OS apps use Firebase Crashlytics, a Google service, to report crashes. If the app crashes, it sends Google a report containing the error and where in the app it happened, your device model and Android version, the app version, and random installation identifiers that are not linked to your name or email. Reports never include your workouts, bodyweight, measurements or any other training data. We use them only to find and fix bugs, and Crashlytics keeps them for 90 days. Google processes these reports under the Firebase terms and the Google privacy policy.

Pro purchases and free trials

Payments for Beemoth Pro are handled entirely by Google Play or the App Store. We never see your card or bank details. To confirm purchases and keep your Pro status correct after a reinstall, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription management service. Each time the app opens, and whenever you buy or restore Pro, the app checks your Pro status with RevenueCat. This happens whether or not you have bought anything. RevenueCat receives a random identifier created on install, your purchase and subscription history for this app, the store, country and currency, your device type and operating system version, the app version, and your IP address as part of the request. RevenueCat does not receive your workouts, bodyweight or any other training data, and it does not receive your name or email from us. It processes this information on our behalf under its own privacy policy, only to verify purchases and manage subscriptions.

Free trials are part of a subscription and are run by Google Play or the App Store, which decide who is eligible. The app stores nothing about them beyond the purchase information above.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

The app contains no advertising, no analytics SDKs, and no trackers. Crash reports are used only to diagnose crashes, never to track how you use the app.

Children

Beemoth is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

Website

This marketing site is statically hosted and does not set tracking cookies. If you submit your email to the waitlist, that email is stored by our newsletter provider for the sole purpose of notifying you about Beemoth launch milestones. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Changes

If the app's data practices change, this policy will be updated and the date above revised before the change takes effect.
